This is a reproducible export of the serving database, not a hand-maintained spreadsheet. It excludes rows without a published complaint index and should be read alongside the methodology and source limitations.
Download complaint-index CSVCSV fields: insurer name and identifier, NAIC code, insurance line, complaint index, estimated complaint volume, and reporting states.
Scope and source
The complaint index is a line-specific comparison measure derived from published National Association of Insurance Commissioners market-conduct data for 2026. It is not a recommendation, a claims-denial rate, or a complete census of every insurer and state. Participation and reporting coverage vary by line and jurisdiction.
The source does not provide a bulk, company-level complaint-count file for this comparison. The CSV therefore labels its volume field as an estimate; it is context for the index, not a regulator-confirmed complaint count.
Read the methodology before comparing companies, and use the insurer pages for the underlying context rather than treating a single index as a quality verdict.
